Cambridge Science Festival: Think Swim, Think Swiss – Build your own swimming structures, April 26
As part of the Cambridge Science Festival, presented by MIT, Swissnex Boston hosted the first family event on Sunday April 26th 2009. While indulging in some treats from the Swiss Bakers, Renata von Tscharner introduced participants to the urban swimming initiative supported by the Charles River Conservancy. Inspired by posters and 3D-exhibits of Swiss swimming structures and with the help of Palo Coleman, early childhood education teacher in Cambridge, little engineers and their talented patents built all sort of swimmable structures out of recycle materials. There was no better way to cherish the arrival of spring, well almost summer, in Cambridge!
