Design Preis Schweiz: Exhibit Opening at swissnex Boston, January 27
On January 27, swissnex Boston held an opening reception for the exhibit Design Preis Schweiz (Design Award Switzerland) which is currently touring through North America for the first time in its 20 year history. Building on Switzerland’s excellent reputation in the field of design, the exhibit showcases groundbreaking works by talented Swiss designers. The exhibit features winning and nominated pieces of the prestigious biannual awards. Over 175 guests interested in design related issues or working for the industry joined the opening reception. Heidi Wegener, head of the Design Award Switzerland and curator of the exhibit, introduced the many guests to the works on display, highlighting what makes Swiss design or, how Heidi Wegener mentioned in her speech, design from Switzerland, so special.
