Foundation of Harvard Swiss Club, November 17, 2009
Based on the initiative of Arie Gerszt, Ueli Friedli, Damian Isler and Stefan Kramer, Swiss students at the Harvard Law and Business Schools respectively, the Harvard Swiss Club was founded with more than fifty members at swissnex. After a brief brainstorming led by Urs Gasser, Executive Director of the Berkman Center for Internet & Society, Felix Oberholzer-Gee, Professor of Business Administration in the Strategy Unit at Harvard Business School, gave a lecture sample on the entertainment industries and the digital transition. Hansueli Maerki, fellow of the advanced leadership initiative at Harvard University took time on his birthday to pass by and talk about how this group of fourteen experienced leaders want to apply their talents to solve significant social problems, including those affecting health and welfare, children and the environment.
