HBA and BaselArea’s Life Sciences Event: "Healthcare Business in Europe"
On October 5, swissnex Boston participated in an intriguing life sciences event at the Millenium Headquarters in Cambridge hosted by the Healthcare Business Women’s Association and sponsored by BaselArea that addressed the advantages and challenges of living and working in Europe and especially in Basel. The event brought together a multitude of professionals from academia, marketing and business, all with various backgrounds and interests in the healthcare industry. Keynote speaker Stefan Borgas, President & CEO of Lonza gave a thought-provoking speech on the healthcare industry as it is today and its future in light of increasing innovations and globalization. A panel discussion of various representatives with extensive business experience in both the US and Switzerland offered insight into the benefits of an international career, how globalization contributed to their individual experiences and valuable advice on transforming the variety of global opportunities available into a reality.
