"How to learn informally in a Corporate World?" Seminar with Swiss RE centre for Global Dialogue

Learning doesn’t end when one leaves the classroom. And, to keep up with the fast-changing trends in today’s corporate environment, informal learning is a constant and necessary process.
So, in light of its mission to explore the new trends in education and learning, swissnex Boston proudly partnered with Swiss Re Center for Global Dialogue on the workshop, “Informal Learning in the Corporate World.” The Center is a forum launched by Swiss Re to “interact with clients and stakeholders on topics that influence the global risk landscape.”
The workshop, hosted by the Swiss Re Academy in Zurich, gathered 25 learning and development experts. Together, they discussed the new paradigms and approaches in informal learning. They also revealed the best methods to develop an informal corporate learning environment to parallel traditional channels of knowledge transmission offered by large companies.
Workshop participants came from the major Swiss corporations: Credit Suisse, Siemens, UBS, SwissLife, Phonak, Schindler, Novartis, Zurich Financial Services and Syngenta.
swissnex Boston also collaborated with the New England Learning Association and invited two local speakers to join the conference via videoconference: David Gomes and Lauren Prisco, President and Executive Vice President respectively of Navis Learning Corporation.
