Inauguration Mondaine Clock, July 23, 2009
June 23rd marked the celebration of the first Mondaine clock (www.mondaine.com) in Boston Logan International Airport. A staple of Swiss travel, the Mondaine clocks can be found in train stations and airports throughout the country. To express its gratitude towards both Logan International Airport for their cooperation and support in hosting the SCIENCEsuisse exhibit, swissnex wanted to give a gift that was both practical and uniquely Swiss. A collaborative effort between Mondaine clocks, Massport and swissnex finally culminated in the installation of an authentic Swiss clock, the only GPS timekeeping device in the airport; to meet the Swiss standard of precision and punctuality of course.
The ceremony to present the new clock began with a brief speech from Margaret Gregory (Brand Manager USA Mondaine) and was followed by the unveiling of the swissnex plaque under the clock by Edward Freny of Massport (Director of Aviation) and some words from our director Pascal Marmier.
swissnex has enjoyed working with Massport and Logan airport and hopes to continue to work together in the future.
