Promoting Swiss universities at the 2nd Go Global Fair in Toronto
For the first time, swissnex Boston, joined by the Swiss Consulate General of Toronto , the Swiss Embassy in Ottawa and four Swiss universities (University of Basel, University of Geneva, University of Lausanne, and EPFL), participated in the 2nd Go Global Fair held on September 24th and 25th in Toronto, Canada. Paralleling last year’s success, the Go Global Fair, organized by the Canadian backpacker review “Verge Magazine”, attracted more than 3,000 Canadian and international students from the Greater Toronto Area looking for study and work opportunities abroad.
As in previous fairs, Canadian students were very interested in what Swiss universities have to offer. Particularly common were questions about graduate programs in engineering, life sciences, business, and international affairs. Furthermore, visitors had the opportunity to discuss questions relating to specific universities directly with some of the exchange students from the four participating Swiss universities.
In collaboration with the Consulate General in Montreal and the Embassy in Ottawa, swissnex Boston will also be present at the next Canadian go-abroad fair in Montreal, to be held from October 13th – 15th. If you are nearby, come and visit us at our booth.
