Radical Innovation in Times of Financial Crisis- Roundtable discussion with Roche
On November 11th, swissnex Boston hosted a breakfast roundtable led by the Global Head, External Research and Technologies for Roche Pharma Partnering in Basel, Dr. Eric de la Fortelle, on the topic of how a collaborative approach between industrial, academic and financial actors can help to re-charge the healthcare innovation engine. About 30 people from the healthcare innovation "ecosystem" (VCs, tech transfer experts, professors, entrepreneurs, consultants) joined the meeting to discuss the state of innovation, research, funding, biomarkers and the transfer from Academia to industry with Dr. de la Fortelle. The participants appreciated the imaginative comments and ideas of the speaker, including his insights into potential collaboration with Roche. The panel discussion was followed by a Swiss-style breakfast and networking among the participants.
