Dr. Marie-José Montpetit and Ms. Nancy Richmond from MIT were the guest speakers presenting their research and advice on social media. Ms. Montpetit is a research scientist for the Networking Coding and Reliable Communications Group. Ms. Richmond is a member of Career Counseling and Exploration for Global Education and Career Development. They talked about how business models have been redefined by social media and discussed how they can be used to gain exposure.
The audience received a compelling overview about innovations in social media, guideline principles as well as the do’s and the don’ts for LinkedIn. Both speakers agreed that there is a lot more to come in terms of connecting with each other and that every connection is important. So let’s connect!
