swissnex Boston brainstorming session
swissnex Boston brainstorming session
On November 8, 2009, swissnex Boston hosted a brainstorming session where we asked, “What will swissnex look like in 2020?” Carl Zangerl, our moderator, divided our participants into three groups and examined different topics that will be relevant and ways to connect to the community in the future. After, the three groups reported their findings and highlighted different aspects of what makes swissnex unique.
Paul Smyke was the group leader of the “red team” and this group emphasized the neutral platform that Switzerland uses to address different issues and how to relate to people on an individual level. Bettina Hein presented for the “blue team” where they discussed the charisma of Switzerland as a successful tool of connecting the community. Tim Rowe of the “yellow team” identified values at the core of what drives different themes.
After, the floor was opened up for discussion where many participants noted swissnex’s needs to continue to transcend national borders and incorporate different fields into its unique model of diplomacy, while keeping it Swiss.
