swissnex Boston welcomes Young Talents
On Thursday, September 9, 2010, swissnex Boston became home-away-from-home for dozens of Swiss new arrivals to the Boston area.
Together with SwissLinkBoston and the Harvard Swiss Society, swissnex welcomed Fall 2010 freshmen, grad and postgrad students to its Cambridge office for an evening of Swiss food, Swiss wine and new friends. Given the informal setting students were free to mingle with the swissnex team and with each other—sure to become a veritable life support during the difficult years of advanced study in a foreign country.
Not only did this annual networking reception give them the invaluable opportunity to find other Swiss students in the area, but it also introduced them to swissnex Boston and all that it does: from science and education to entrepreneurship and arts. These new students found not only a place where they can speak their own languages and enjoy familiar fare, but also have the opportunity to build a network and advance their academic and professional careers.
By the end of the night, the students were ready for more collaboration with the team...and more swissnex events!
