Swissnex connects the dots in the Arts
Members of Boston’s cultural and art institutions, academia and the consular corps as well as students, artists and other music lovers enjoyed the “swissnex Art SoirĂ©e” at swissnex Boston on May 2. The young and very talented pianist from Switzerland See Siang Wong performed a unique recital with pieces by Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy from the Romantic period as well as contemporary pieces by Swiss composers Felix Baumann, Burkhard Kinzler and Laurent Mettraux. See Siang Wong who teaches at the Zurich University of the Arts introduced each piece in a subtle manner and thus made the recital even more interesting and insightful. Wong’s Boston appearance followed performances in Washington DC where he launched his latest album. | ![]() |
At the networking reception following the concert, the guests used the opportunity to talk to the artist, learn more about the techniques used for the modern piano pieces, and to connect with each other over Swiss delights from the SwissBaekers.
