Teaching and learning go hand-in-hand, but these two complementary processes are not always in sync. So as part of the final module of a program organized by the Rectors' Conference of Swiss Universities of Applied Science (KFH), 20 university officers journeyed to Boston to experience the latest trends in "Teaching and Learning".
Teaching From October 17 to 27, the delegation toured numerous hubs across New England of cutting-edge teaching methods and innovative learning tools. These included: Rhode Island School of Design, Boston University, MIT and Harvard. The delegation was well-received by its many hosts, who welcomed the plethora of new inputs from which they could learn.
Among their stops, the delegation was informed on “How to Build up a Summer School” at Salve Regina University in Rhode Island, new trends in Executive Education at Babson College, “Teaching and Learning Initiatives” at Bentley College, interfaculty initiatives at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society, Women and Science at Simmons college or on state wide education policy and initiatives at the New England Board of Higher Education.
