ThinkSwiss Innovation from Switzerland at 10th anniversary of the Cambridge Innovation Center
swissnex Boston had the opportunity to experience the Cambridge Innovation Center, CIC, and its role as the connector and facilitator first hand when the CIC hosted swissnex for over a year during its construction phase. The CIC has enabled swissnex numerous times in its efforts to connect to the local community of start-ups and innovators.
Being invited to participate in CIC’s 10th anniversary celebration that took place over 4 floors last Friday was not only an honor but an ideal opportunity to plug into the extremely high profile network of the CIC to promote the ThinkSwiss program to an audience that is international, highly connected, and innovative. The ThinkSwiss program organizes events, workshops, exhibitions and study trips to Switzerland in cooperation with American partners, Swiss representations in the USA such as the Swiss Embassy, swissnex Boston and swissnex San Francisco as well as the five Swiss Consulates General.
The large number of participants who attended the celebration was inspired by a forward looking country that is in itself innovative, competitive and creative. Besides the good turnout, we also had a chance to have several high-level people (re)connect with us including Henrietta Davis (Cambridge City Councilor and maybe future Mayor of Cambridge!) and Greg Bialecki (Sec. for Economic development for Massachusetts).
