Videoconference with EO Wilson to discuss the WKD
SHARE was honored to organize a videoconferenced discussion between Prof Edward O Wilson and Dr. Francis Waldvogel about the organization of the World Knowledge Dialogue (www.wkdialogue.org), a 2-day symposium aimed at bridging the gap between natural sciences and the humanities. Prof Wilson expressed his interest in the project and plans to help the preparation of the discussion.
EO Wilson is research professor and museum curator at Harvard University. He has received many of the world's leading prizes for his research in science, his environmental activism, and his writing. Wilson has been a leader in the fields of entomology (the study of insects), animal behavior and evolutionary psychology, island biogeography, biodiversity, environmental ethics, and the philosophy of knowledge.
