Visit of Nathalie Pichard, Director of Education, EPFL, June 24-25
On June 24 and 25, swissnex Boston hosted Nathalie Pichard, Director of Education of EPFL. In Lausanne, Mrs. Pichard is in charge of coordinating the Education domain and managing the resources available for students and teachers such as the academic service, the social service, the career center, the sport center or the student’s social and cultural activities. During its stay in Boston, she visited some of her counterparts at Harvard University (Dean for student affairs in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Office for Undergraduate Education), MIT (Dean for Undergraduate Education, Director of the Global Education) and Boston University (Associate Dean of Students) in order to learn and to compare the various ways to manage the life on campus. Mrs. Pichard also took advantage of those meetings to visit some student facilities, in particular dormitories, career centers and athletics centers.
