Young swiss talents visited the south of Massachusetts
From April 17 to 19, the small town of Woods Hole hosted the 15th Immunoparasitology meeting co-sponsored by swissnex Boston.
This annual international conference is one of the most famous for researchers in the field. This year was a bit more special for many reasons. Firstly, the co-organizer was a Swiss professor, Fabienne Tacchini-Cottier, who is actually working at the department of biochemistry at the University of Lausanne. Secondly, several young Swiss talents participated on behalf of their departments. Thirdly, one of the two keynote speakers was Swiss as well.
For these Swiss, attending the conference gave them the first opportunity to presenttheir research. But this is also an opportunity to talk to other researchers and students.
For swissnex, co-sponsoring and attending this meeting not only enabled new connections but also helped us to understand the need of Swiss researchers to meet new colleagues. We will be happy to work closer with them next year.
