Goethe Turns 40 - Open House
The Goethe-Institut Boston, the official cultural center of the Federal Republic of Germany, invites the public to celebrate its 40th anniversary in Boston on Sunday, December 2 from 2–6 PM. Hosting a holiday bazaar with live music, a fairytale hour for children, and traditional German food and drink, the Goethe-Institut Boston offers something for newcomers and long-time patrons alike.

The Goethe-Institut Boston will be presenting its current program and language classes and will offer a special enrollment discount to those registering during this special event. With free "Your First Five Minutes of German" lessons and raffle prizes ranging from tote bags to free German course vouchers to a Lufthansa round-trip flight to Germany, the Goethe-Institut Boston invites the greater New England community to experience a taste of Germany.
Known for its language classes and influential programs in film, music, visual arts and international conferences/discussions, the Goethe-Institut Boston has established itself as an integral part of the cultural scene in Boston since its inception forty years ago. The Institut bridges the cultural divide and defies traditional views and stereotypes of Germany by hosting innovative, creative and cutting-edge events here in Boston, that reflect the cultural scene in Germany today.
