Parents and educators are increasingly aware that the challenges of a globalized world will require students to reflect and learn in new ways. In addition to teaching core academic content, schools need to cultivate key skills, such as global awareness, intercultural communication, collaboration, critical thinking, technological ability, media literacy and civic courage.
Leading questions:
- What are the core competencies all students will need to master in order to succeed and thrive in the new global knowledge economy?
- How can these skills best be taught and assessed?
- What must change in order for our schools and families to ensure that all students are career, college, and citizenship ready?
Find out more and join us for an interactive atelier lead by Tony Wagner, Co-Director of the Change Leadership Group (CLG) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Tony Wagner’s latest book “The Global Achievement Gap: Why Even Our Best Schools Don’t Teach the New Survival Skills Our Children Need – And what we Can Do About It” will be available for sale.
Following the Atelier, celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season with traditional European sweet and savory treats.
Free, but limited space available!
