swissnex Boston/Consulate of Switzerland invites children of all ages to its annual Sustainable Kids Event 2011 where they can build their own birdhouses, experiment with energy and construct a futuristic city from their own imaginations. This fun learning event is the vision of the 2000 Watt Society: attaining a balance in energy use between industrialized and developing countries, enabling everyone to enjoy a suitable standard of living.

Educators and parents can also get some learning done. The 2000 Watt Society travelling exhibition, awarded “Best in Show” at the European Design Awards 2009, originated in Zurich and finds a new home at swissnex Boston. Adapted for the US market, the exhibition portrays the range of options for sustainable construction.
Did you know…
