the President and five Executives of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), (see Bios)
and a limited number of representatives of local Universities
on Tuesday June 16th, 7 - 9pm

On that occasion, swissnex Boston and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences will discuss the challenges and the strategies of internationalization in research and education with a focus on the opportunities provided by the Boston area.
During the second part of the reception the ZHAW will present its various research activities in Switzerland with a particular focus on three specific projects

- Introduction about the role of swissnex Boston in connecting Swiss and US academic institutions
Pascal Marmier, Consul-Director;
- General presentation of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Werner Inderbitzin, President ZHAW and Ursula Blosser, Director of the School of Social Work;
- Challenges and opportunities in the internationalization of the ZHAW, Frank Wittmann, Head of International Affairs Unit;

During the reception, you will be able to circulate among 3 table top presentations:
- Three projects presentations :
1) The new “Language of Bread” – Giving a staple food a revolutionary spin;
2) Micro-modeling autonomous customer dynamics;
3) More than words – Corporate branding and language use.
The reception includes buffet and refreshments.
